9781584655985[1]Join us at the Library on Thursday April 19 at 7pm for a presentation by visiting authors, Rob Yasinac and Thomas Rinaldi, who will discuss their book, Hudson Valley Ruins, which will cover some of the region’s forgotten cultural treasures.  While historians tend to concentrate on sites within the Hudson Valley Region that have been restored or preserved, a large array of less fortunate historic landmarks are left to waste away. In some cases, these buildings are every bit as worthy of preservation as their more fortunate counterparts.

In addition to great river estates, sites more meaningful to everyday life in the valley, such as churches, hotels, commercial and civic buildings, mills, train stations, and works by some of the most important names in American architectural history, such as Alexander Jackson Davis and Calvert Vaux will be featured.

Light refreshments will be served. Click here to RSVP. Walk-ins welcome.
