Job Help Lab on Break

Submitted by on – No Comment

The job lab will be taking a short break until after the holidays, check back on our calendar for updates.   In the meantime, if you need job help, please contact the front desk to schedule a one-on-one appointment.

What is the Job Lab?

Job seekers need a quiet space and more time for research than other computer users in the Library, so the Library transforms the community room into a career center for two hours on select Wednesdays.  This open lab time offers 6 laptops and a dedicated printer available for job seekers who pre-register to use the lab anytime between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., though walk-ins are welcome if there are stations free.

Our attendant is present to assist with job search questions related to resume writing, online job applications, resume email help, online job search and more.

Take advantage of a myriad of library databases and resources using your library card to create professional resumes automatically, get interview and job search help, access practice tests and study guides, search for New York state job openings and more.
