ABOUT THE GUESTS:

Emily Amoia is the Author of Thor, the Friendly Bullmastiff.  Her story is based on Emily’s actual pet, Thor. Thor is truly an inspiring dog who captures the hearts of all who meet him. Emily and Thor literally can’t go anywhere without people, both young and old, wanting to stop and meet Thor. He is always surprising people with his gentleness and calm demeanor.

Emily, together with her husband Stephan, is the owner of the pet boutique, Wags N’ Gift Tags in Marlboro, NY. She has a BA in English from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.

Jodi Lobdell-Bulson is the author of several books in her Toddler Room series: Arrival, Free Play and Clean Up Time, as well as Adventures of Vanni and Veet: Golfing with Pa.  Adventures of Vanni and Veet is a delightful tale of two adventuresome brothers as they go golfing with their grandfather and learn not only about the game, but also how important it is to make memories with those we love.

Jodi was born and raised in the beautiful Hudson Valley.  She has more than thirty-five years of experience working with children, both as a mother and daycare provider, which lends to her unique viewpoint.

Linda LaPolla is the author of Dream Along with Me, a story where a little girl discovers that often it is something she does or sees each day that makes its way into her dreams in quite surprising ways.  The captivating illustrations in this perfect bedtime book take the reader along on the little girl’s adventures in dreamland where just about anything can happen!

Linda grew up and lives in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York with her husband. As a child she was an avid reader and memories of those childhood stories were rekindled while taking a children’s literature course in college. The seed was planted to someday write a children’s book. After two children, a 30 year career as an elementary school teacher, several years of retirement, and four beautiful granddaughters to read to, she decided to write that long overdue story. “Dream Along With Me” is the product of her long awaited dream come true.

Ashley Poulin is the illustrator of the books listed above (except Toddler Room: Arrival) as well as her first children’s book: Risseldy Rosseldy by John M. Feierabend.  Reviving a timeless American folk song, this children’s book relates the hilarious story of a husband and his impossibly lazy wife.

Ashley is from Marlboro, New York.  She has a BFA in illustration from the Hartford Art School in West Hartford, Connecticut, and a minor in art history.  She loves painting fairy-tale scenes and anything humorous.

Laura Renaud is the author of The Pig and the Peacock.  Have you ever met two people who were so different it seemed like they could never get along? The Pig and The Peacock is a story about two neighbors who are in just that situation.  Follow along as they learn valuable lessons about being yourself and accepting others.
