Art Show Reception – In the Cards by Ashley Poulin
Sunday, April 16 from 3:00-5:00pm
On Sunday, April 16, from 3:00-5:00 pm, in the Library’s community room, there will be an art reception for In the Cards, a series of artwork by local artist, Ashley Poulin. In the Cards explores various concepts through storytelling and symbolism, using characters from the artist’s own stories, presented in the form of tarot-like cards. The series will be on display in the community room until May 19. The public are invited to view the art whenever the Library is open, and there are no ongoing programs. (Check the Library’s online calendar to see when any programs are being held.)
Ashley Poulin grew up in Marlboro, New York, and graduated from the Hartford Art School, in Connecticut, majoring in illustration and minoring in art history. Her illustrated books include: Rissedly Rossedly by John Feierabend, Sonshine Colors by Brenda Halstead, Dream Along with Me by Linda LaPolla, Thor, The Friendly Bullmastiff by Emily Amoia, and Golfing with Pa by Jodi Bulson.
