Dark Side of Marlboro, Online Presentation

Thursday, October 29, 7:00 p.m.

Drownings, jailbreaks, murders, a spiritualist conman?  It didn’t happen in Marlboro!  …Or did it?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library’s Dark Side of Marlboro Walking Tour will be offered in a different format this year! Instead of our annual walking tour, participants may join us from the comfort of your own home on October 29 at 7:00 pm for a special online presentation given by our guides who have been giving the tour for the past three years.

As the Dark Side of Marlboro is one of the Friends of the Marlboro Free Library’s biggest fundraisers, those who still wish to support the Library may do so by clicking here.

Registration required.  Click here to register.  Registrants will be emailed a program link the day of the event.

For a Limited Time:

Self-Guided Walking Tour on your Mobile Device!

The Friends of the Marlboro Free Library will also be offering their annual walking tour for free for a limited time through the Library’s new app, Discover Marlboro! Download the Discover Marlboro app at the Apple or Google Play store and get ready to hear spooky, long forgotten tales unearthed from the Library’s Local History Collection and from old newspapers.

Discover Marlboro is location-aware, which will show a user’s location in regards to nearby points of interest on an easily navigable map, and features audio playback, and historical photos and write-ups from the Library’s Local History Collection.
