MARLBORO LIBRARY RECEIVES FUNDING
The Marlboro Library has received a New York State Aid for Library Construction grant in the amount of $342,456 for energy efficient building upgrades. Upgrades to the existing plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be managed by Butler Rowland Mays Architects. The upgrades are part of a larger project that will improve and increase the size of the community room and north entrance, and renovate and modernize the library interior.
“This funding, in addition to previously awarded grants, will allow the Library to increase accessibility and to continue to grow the breadth of services it offers to the Marlborough community”, said Board of Trustees President, Denise A. Garofalo. “The Library is grateful to the legislators for including this aid in the state budget, and to Jonathan Jacobson, who is a fervent supporter of libraries”.
