In addition to our regular museum passes (scroll down to view), print at home Museum Passes are provided to Ulster County residents through the generosity of Your Ulster County Executive, Ulster County Legislature, Ulster County Libraries, and Friends of Library Groups.

MUSEUM PASSES
We are excited to provide museum passes for our patrons to borrow. Please review all the information below before borrowing one of the passes. Currently, we offer passes to Boscobel House & Gardens, Dia Beacon, Empire Pass, Mohonk Preserve, Motorcyclepedia Museum and Storm King Art Center.
And for cardholders of the Mid-Hudson Library System, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum Pass.
Boscobel House and Gardens
The Marlboro Free Library has a Boscobel House and Gardens pass in its collection. The pass is available to Marlboro Central School District residents only with a Library card in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items). The pass must be picked up and returned to the Marlboro Library. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis: at this time reservations or requests for specific dates cannot be made. Holds/Reserves cannot be placed. To see if the pass is available, click here.
What to know to borrow:
- The Library membership pass allows for patrons to receive admission for four guests.
- The Library Membership is valid for access to the grounds and/or a house tour if the house is open. Reservations are required for tours. See Boscobel.org for days open and advance registration.
- Restrictions on the use of the pass are set by the Museum’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the Museum’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
- The borrower must be an adult.
- The loan period for a pass is 3 days. NON-RENEWABLE
- Late fines will be assessed at $5.00 per day. The pass will be considered lost if not returned in 7 days.
- A lost pass will result in a charge of the full replacement cost of membership ($150).
Please note: You may be asked to present your Marlboro or Milton Library Card, along with the membership pass and a photo ID.
Dia Beacon
The Marlboro Free Library has a Dia pass in its collection and can be used at the Dia Beacon location (The Dia Chelsea location no longer charges admission). The pass is available to Marlboro Central School District residents only with a Library card in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items). The pass must be picked up and returned to the Marlboro Library. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis: at this time reservations or requests for specific dates cannot be made. Holds/Reserves cannot be placed. To see if the pass is available, click here.
What to know to borrow:
- The Library membership pass allows for free general admission during public hours for 1 cardholder and 4 accompanying ADULT guests (5 adults total) and also gives a 10% discount at the Dia Beacon bookstore. Free admission for children 18 and under accompanied by the cardholder.
- Restrictions on the use of the pass are set by the museum’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the museum’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
- The borrower must be an ADULT Marlboro Central School District Resident (or non-resident MFL card) cardholder in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items).
- The loan period for a pass is 3 days. Non-renewable.
- Late fines will be assessed at $5.00 per day. The pass will be considered lost if not returned in 7 days.
- A lost pass will result in a charge of the full replacement cost of membership ($500).
- The Library has 2 passes-only 1 may be borrowed per household at a time.
Note: The museum may ask to see your Marlboro or Milton Library card, along with the membership pass and a photo ID. Please check the museum’s website prior to visiting to ensure tickets do not need to be reserved in advance.
Empire Pass
The Marlboro Free Library has an Empire Pass in its collection. The pass is available to Marlboro Central School District residents only with a Library card in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items). The pass must be picked up and returned to the Marlboro Library. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis: at this time reservations or requests for specific dates cannot be made. Holds/Reserves cannot be placed. To see if the pass is available, click here.
What to know to borrow:
- The Pass allows entry to the pass holder and their occupants in one vehicle when the card is presented at most New York State parks, Department of Environmental Conservation forest preserve areas, boat launch site, arboretums and park preserves.
- The borrower must be a Marlboro Central School District resident in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items).
- Restrictions on the use of the pass are set by the park’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the park’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
- The borrower must be an adult.
- The loan period for a pass is 3 days. NON-RENEWABLE.
- Late fines will be assessed at $5.00 per day.
- Pass will be considered lost if not returned in 7 days.
- A lost pass will result in a charge of the full replacement cost of membership ($80.00)

Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum
Available to card holders of the Mid-Hudson Library System, this pass entitles one family (up to 5) to free admission to the Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park. Visit the museum website below for more information.

Here’s how it works:
- This pass is for the Presidential Library and Museum. This is NOT a pass into the other properties (the Mansion, Val-Kill, Top Cottage).
- Please visit our circulation desk to fill out your complimentary guest pass.
- Go to the Presidential Library on the day and date of the pass and present ID, your library card, and the pass for entry into the site.
- The pass does not need to be returned to the Library.
Mohonk Preserve
The Library has 4 Mohonk Preserve passes in its collection. The pass is available to Marlboro Central School District residents only with a Library card in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items). The pass must be picked up and returned to the Marlboro Library. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis: at this time reservations or requests for specific dates cannot be made. Holds/Reserves cannot be placed. To see if the pass is available, click here.
What to know to visit the Preserve:
- Bring the pass to the Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center or any of the Monhonk Preserve Trailheads to obtain a free day-use wristband. All cardholders must obtain a wristband to access the Preserve.
- Pass is not valid for parking or entry to the Mohonk Mountain House or Minnewaska State Park. Restrictions on use of the pass are set by the Preserve’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the Preserve’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
What to know to borrow:
- Each pass will admit ONE person 13 years and older. Children 12 years old and under are free and must be accompanied by an adult pass holder. All minors under 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. *One adult patron can check out multiple passes for their household.*
- The borrower must be a Marlboro Central School District resident in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items).
- Restrictions on the use of the pass are set by the preserve’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the preserve’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
- The borrower must be an adult.
- The loan period for a pass is 3 days. NON-RENEWABLE.
- Late fines will be assessed at $5.00 per day.
- Pass will be considered lost if not returned in 7 days.
- A lost pass will result in a charge of the full replacement cost of the pass ($95.)

Motorcyclepedia Museum
The Library has 1 Motorcyclepedia pass in its collection. The pass is available to Marlboro Central School District residents only with a Library card in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items). The pass must be picked up and returned to the Marlboro Library. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis: at this time reservations or requests for specific dates cannot be made. Holds/Reserves cannot be placed. To see if the pass is available, click here.
What to know to borrow:
- The Library membership pass allows for free general admission during public hours for 2 guests (children under 3 are free admission).
- Restrictions on the use of the pass are set by the museum’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the museum’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
- The borrower must be an ADULT Marlboro Central School District Resident (or non-resident MFL card) cardholder in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items).
- The loan period for a pass is 3 days. Non-renewable.
- Late fines will be assessed at $5.00 per day. The pass will be considered lost if not returned in 7 days.
- A lost pass will result in a charge of the full replacement cost of membership ($30).

Storm King Art Center
The Marlboro Free Library has a Storm King Art Center museum pass in its collection. The pass is available to Marlboro Central School District residents only with a Library card in good standing (no fines due or lost/overdue items). The pass must be picked up and returned to the Marlboro Library. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis: at this time reservations or requests for specific dates cannot be made. Holds/Reserves cannot be placed. To see if the pass is available, click here.
What to know to borrow:
- The Library membership pass allows for patrons to receive free admission of one car with up to six people. Limit one vehicle per day, per Membership. Children under 5 years old are not counted towards the vehicle total.
- Restrictions on the use of the pass are set by the museum’s membership policies, and it is the borrower’s responsibility to verify the museum’s hours and operational schedule before visiting.
- The borrower must be an adult.
- The loan period for a pass is 3 days. NON-RENEWABLE
- Late fines will be assessed at $5.00 per day. The Pass will be considered lost if not returned in 7 days.
- A lost pass will result in a charge of the full replacement cost of membership ($125).
