What to Expect When Visiting the Library During Renovation
Interior demolitions have begun! The Library remains open with limited services. Please review the following updates before your visit:
Location & Access
- Library services are located in the old children’s section of the building.
- Our side parking lot off of West Street is closed, please use the front lot for parking and entry.
- Study and play space is not available at this time.
- The Library is currently operating under modified hours:
- Monday: 12:30-6:00pm
- Tuesday: 12:30-6:00pm
- Wednesday: 12:30-6:00pm
- Thursday: 12:30-6:00pm
- Friday: 12:30pm-5:00pm
- Saturday: 11:00am-5:00pm
- Sunday: 1:00pm-5:00pm
Please note that while we try to minimize service impacts as much as possible, these hours are subject to change at any time due to construction.
Materials & Services
- Patrons can pick up holds.
- New and select popular materials are still available for browsing and checkout. Our browsing selection is currently very limited.
- Most of our collection is currently in offsite storage, but don’t worry! We can request items for you from any of the 66 libraries in the Mid-Hudson Library System!
- Two computers are available for public use.
- Fax, print, and scan services are available.
Unavailable Collections
- Local history collection is not accessible.
- At this time, we cannot accept book donations due to a lack of space.
Restrooms
- Restrooms are located outside in trailers with running water, heat, and electricity.
- An accessible restroom is available.
- We may have to close more frequently due to inclement weather and ice due to our outdoor restrooms.
Circulation Desk & Appointments
- You may experience wait times at the circulation desk, as we are down to one computer.
- Notary, passports, and tech help are available by appointment only.
- To reach the circulation desk, please call ext. 217. Our phone lines are limited due to construction.
Construction Notice
- You may experience loud construction noise during your visit.
